a new book titled Old Rockaway, New York by Vincent Seyfried and
William Asadorian is a must read! It is a collection of
vintage photos (1850 -1950) of the Rockaways and text divided into chapters
on Far Rockaway, Edgemere, Arverne, Rockaway Beach, Rockaway Park, Belle
Harbor, Neponsit, Riis Park and Breezy Point. I ordered it
from the Rockaway Museum for $12.95 plus s/h. If you are interested
