Basically, Mott Avenue between Cornaga Avenue on the east and Central Avenue on the west looks pretty much the same as it did sixty years ago. Of course, the store fronts have changed but the basic buildings have not. Unfortunately, the "trendy" shops of yesteryear are gone, being replaced by closeout stores, 99 cent shops, and Centro-American restaurants. However, I did find that the merchants located on this street are offering a better-grade of goods and services than can be found on the main Central Avenue. Finding a parking spot on Mott Avenue can be difficult.
