Hey, Far Rockaway 1970s (1969 & 1971) alums and friends!!!
Our reunion plans have been finalized for October 23, 2010 at the JFK  International Hotel for the class of 1970 plus an extended invitation to classes of 1969 and 1971. Room rates for those from out of town are $130.00 per night all inclusive. The address of the hotel is:

There will be a get-together Friday night for those who wish to hang out. The reunion dinner will be on Saturday night at a cost of $100.00 per person and includes hors d'oeuvres plus a three-course meal, DJ to keep the party rocking and hopping and decorating the room, and a cash bar.

We plan on a really fun night. If you have any special talent that can help enhance the night please let us know (entertainers etc.). We can use volunteers that would help put together a photo montage and we are open to suggestions for anything else to make this night most memorable.

A showcase table is planned that will display items from Far Rockaway and school memorabilia (items needed so please loan us your memorabilia and you will get them back that night). Let us know what you intend to bring for the display. If you want to share any of your memories in written format  please submit them to us via email or hard copy by post. We are trying to compile a  pamphlet for everyone that night to take home with them.

*Please note that we reserved a party room and need RSVPs ASAP. This will allow us to gauge the room size needed for this event. We hope that if the party size grows, the hotel will have a larger space available.  Your early response and commitment will guarantee your spot.  Therefore it is of utmost importance if you plan on coming, to let us know as soon as possible after reading this!!  (The original date was February 28, but since that's today, we're extending the time,  but we would hate to turn people away because we can't accommodate them due to lack of room space.)

Deposits - 50% deposits for dinner ($50.00 per person) are needed to hold your reservation. Balance will be due two weeks prior to the reunion.

Two restaurants -- Claudine’s, which serves breakfast from 6:00 a.m. to -11:30 a.m. and Le Bistro Café & Bar, which is open from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 a.m., serving lunch and dinner.

Apres Lounge serves beverages and snacks from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 a.m. and has two large screen TVs.

There is a complimentary shuttle service to and from JFK airport which runs 24/7.

All rooms have: Remote control cable TV, pay movies, two telephones, AM/FM radio alarm clock, complimentary wireless internet, coffee maker, dryer, iron and ironing board.  The hotel offers an indoor pool, a health club, 24 hour business center, and same day dry cleaning.
