Below is a request I received from a publishing company about an upcoming book containing the collected letters of Far Rockaway High School graduate and Nobel prize winner, Richard Feynman.  If you have any information that would be helpful, please write to Vanessa Hartmann whose address is below.

Dear Mr. Weinstock,

Here at Basic Books we are working on the upcoming publication of the collected letters of Richard P. Feynman.  I am writing with the hope that you'll be able to help me locate Joseph E. Johnston and Abram Bader, or their families, whose letters to Feynman the editor would like to include. Both Bader and Johnston were teachers of math and science at Far Rockaway High School in the 1930s and 1940s, and possibly for much longer.  Thanks to your connection with many alumni through your website, we thought you might be able to forward this message to or help us locate their families.
 

Letters and release forms for both Johnston and Bader are available should you be able to contact them.
