I’m
a 1976 graduate of FRHS.
I have been dealing with some health issues for the past 6 months. I was
diagnosed with Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in November. That was the bad news. The
good news is that I completed my chemotherapy at the end of March and I am in
remission.
Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (NHL)
is insidious. In the many hours that I spent waiting for and receiving
treatment, and the time that I spent in the hospital watching other patients
walk by past my room door pushing their IV carts, I was struck by the diversity
of the patients. NHL is an equal opportunity offender. It doesn’t
discriminate. It affects men & women, young & old, all races, and
