I just received this letter from a researcher for the 3-506th Infantry (Currahees) of the 101st Airborne Division (Screaming Eagles).  Please read her letter and let me (or her) know if you can assist.

Hello!

My name is Jane Fulkerson and I am a Veteran (Sgt. US Army 1965-68).  In my spare time I currently work as a Researcher for the 3-506th Infantry (Currahees) of the 101st Airborne Division (Screaming Eagles).

Recently I have been researching a man named EDWARD  JOSEPH  ZEWERT, Jr.  who was a member of this unit and was killed in Vietnam.  He was a graduate of Far Rockaway High School.   He was killed on April 26, 1968 and was 20 years old at the time of his death.   I don't know what class he graduated with, as I am still trying to locate a Senior Photo of him, but I have a copy of a death notice which was placed in the Long Island Press on Tuesday, April 30, 1968, which states he was a graduate of Far Rockaway High School.  I have written to Far Rockaway H.S. and have requested a copy of his Senior picture. I have not yet received it.

If you by any remote chance have a copy of the mid 60s yearbooks and could send me a copy of his photo, I would really appreciate that.  All information I receive goes to the unit historian, who is currently writing a book of tribute and remembrance to all members of the unit who died in Vietnam.
