The final destination was the hospital complex on Beach 19th Street. St. John's Hospital had originally been known as "St. Joseph's Hospital" and has been sold and traded many times over the past few decades. The hospital complex has grown over the past years - picking up many of the adjoining properties either by purchase or inheritance. It is now a large medical campus with a massive raised "walk-way" connecting the hospital itself with a nursing home facility on the eastern side of the street.

This day's entire session took approximately two hours. Figuring the time it took to drive to each location, to stop and find parking (in some cases parking illegally), taking the pictures themselves, doing a little shopping for merchandise, and talking to (asking questions of) a few of the locals, it was an extremely well-planned and executed adventure. Going back to visit this area is great fun. Of course it is not like I remembered it; I didn't expect it to be. Time does move on. We always have our memories and each other to rely on. Just "go with the flow" and have an enjoyable time!
