It was decided that the Far Rockaway High School would be the next stop.  Several photographs were taken of the school.  Two city police offers were good enough to provide some information (this is before the latest announcement of the school's demise) about the current status of the high school.  According to them, Far Rockaway High School is still a public high school, but a part of the building is presently being occupied by "The Frederick Douglass Academy" with its own private entrance and exit.  Several photographs were taken of the football field at the rear of the building - on the western end (facing Hartman Lane).  The football field is now "astro-turf" and the large permanent bleachers (with toilet rooms located underneath) have been removed.  A series of small portable bleachers are located on the eastern side of the field - near the main school building.  The entire perimeter of the field is now a running track.
