Class of 1959 FRHS alum is looking for a kidney donor
for her son

Skip and I recently received this letter from 1959 FRHS alum Karen Klein Lutzker regarding her very sick son.  Her e-mail address is at the bottom of this page.
My son, who is handicapped with amputation of his right leg from diabetes complications 6 years ago and who is on kidney dialysis three days a week, 4-5 hours each day is on disability.  His wife lost the job she had for 20 years and now can't find a another.  They are struggling financially as well. They have a son almost 16 years old and that is a hardship on our grandson because he will be nearing college age and they cannot help him financially.  Lastly, I don't know if it is possible to make a page that says, "Son of class of 1959 FRHS alum is looking for a kidney donor."

Our son just turned 48 and is my first born.  It hurts that he has been on the list for so long and who knows how long he will survive with kidney dialysis. It is killing me as his mother because I love him so much and he has suffered enough.  I have read that a donor does not even have to be a match for the recipient, but would go to someone else and the recipient could receive an exact match from someone else.  Maybe one of our younger FRHS grads would be kind enough to donate one of their kidneys?
