I took several  pictures (from the shopping center) of the stores directly across the street (to the south).  Then I walked east on Mott Avenue and took a good look at the building that had housed the First National Bank of Far Rockaway--now converted to a business purpose other than a banking concern.  Several stores immediately leading up to its entrance were boarded up and no longer in use.  I took some photos of the fire station and then some of Central Avenue facing south.  I took photos of both corners--where Cushman Bakery had been on the east side and where the Whelan Drug Store had been located on the west.
